Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR)

We are seeking a Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative to provide customer solutions, act as a liaison, maintain an understanding of company processes, and provide products and services to meet the needs of each customer.  The candidate for this role will have strong communication and organizational skills with a desire to provide exceptional customer service.

The candidate will be responsible for servicing and processing a book of business; quoting, requesting and processing of new and renewal policies, endorsements, audits including audit disputes, cancellations and reinstatements; remarketing of accounts; creating proposals; certificates of insurance as well as account-rounding. This role will support the efforts of our agency sales team.

• New York Property & Casualty license preferred or must be able to pass employer-paid state insurance licensing course and exam
• Prior customer service experience of at least one (1) year
• High school diploma
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to help customers with their insurance needs
• Ability to maintain professional and courteous communication at all times
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
• Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
• Focused, productive, and accountable with an attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to learn and become proficient in customer relationship management software
